Day 12 Hampton, VA to Gettysburg, PA

milage 283
total milage 3603

For the next four days the terrible twosome will become a threesome. Dori is joining us and she got her license the day before we leave (had her permit before).

Today we rode straight thru to Gettysburg, PA. I managed to get us messed up a couple of times. I found that I can't use my dark sunglasses and still read the GPS in a bright sunlight. The drivers around Washington, DC did their level best to kill us one and all but we made it. We stayed at a great campground at Gettysburg, they had ice cream and a swimming pool. They also had both union and confederate reenactors units there for the weekend.

After setting up camp we went out and got some dinner. We also spent a couple of hours touring Day One of the battlefield. Oh yes, we got our nitely ice cream.

We rode 283 miles to get here.

camping cost $31
