Day 14 Gettysburg to Shennandoah Natl Park

milage 200
total milage 3603

Today we spent about 3 hrs touring some more of the battlefield. We then headed South to the battlefield of Manassas/Bull Run. We looked it over but the heat made it no fun to be outside so we didn't spend much time there. We then decided to head down to the Shennandoah National Park to find a campsite for the night. We figured the elevation would be much cooler.

We were right...as we climbed the temp started to drop, at the top it was 20+ degrees cooler but still to hot. We had a lot of company there, does, fawns and spikes were all over the place.

We met Keith who was riding an 1800 GoldWing and pulling a pop up camping trailer. Dori decided their not to bad after all but decided she didn't want to pull one.

We covered 200 miles even today.

Camping cost $10
